– Manufacturing Company North of Pedergrass A prominent manufacturing company is looking to grow its team by hiring a Controller through Robert Half Finance.

In this leadership position, you will direct an accounting and clerical department.

As the Controller, your tasks will include planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assessing accounting and internal control systems, and guiding departmental staff.

The Controller position is a full-time opportunity in the Maysville, Georgia region.

Key responsibilities: Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies Present monthly financial reports to executive committee and partners Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis Job Requirements: Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field CPA/MBA preferred Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred Manufacturing Cost Accounting and inventory experience Foundational knowledge in KPI Reporting Proven knowledge of Purchase Orders Excellent communication and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations Strong analytical capabilities and discernment Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision If you are interested in this opportunity and possess the necessary qualifications,please submit your formal and confidential resume to Kristen Stough at Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
