The role serves to advise, support and report to the president on all areas of finance and accounting operations,and also work when requested with the Board of Directors.Role CompetenciesSupervisory Experience RequiredAbility to Multi-taskTechnologically ProficientStrong Organizational SkillsClear CommunicatorSelf-StarterRequired Education and ExperienceBachelors in Accounting, CPA and/or MBA preferredMinimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing and Inventory controlJob TypeFull-timeDAC-International Controller Job Responsibilities & Duties:Reports directly to the company president, and also works directly with the Board of Directors.Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing and implementing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.Relying upon solid experience in cost accounting and month end closing procedures, this role ensures management and operations receives accurate, timely information for business decisions.Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.Responsible for updating accounting systems and controlsProtecting assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.Preparing annual and project budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.Oversees monthly closing processes and preparation of monthly reports.Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Oversees payroll, sales tax, and all financially based governmental reporting.Measuring, analyzing, and reporting on manufacturing financial variances and recommend strategies to improve performance.Preparing and distributing weekly cash flow reports, cash flow projections and handles cash management.Coordinates and oversees ongoing development, use and conformance of DAC activities with the recently implemented Epicor ERP system.Collaborating with sales and customer service in the process of sales invoice preparation.Vendor negotiations.Responsible for oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.Accountable for the reconciliation of expense reports, credit cards and bank statements.Responsible for all matters related to Human Resources, Payroll and Employee Benefits.Maximizing return, and limiting risk, on cash by optimizing bank balances in coordination with parent holding company.Achieving budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting internal audits; and maintaining information required by external auditors.Complying with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and newlegislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.Maintaining financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.Maintaining financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Protecting operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Additional contributions this role is counted on to deliver include:Supporting manufacturing and management in development of annual budgets and forecast projections.Evaluating, purchasing and management of insurance coveragesProviding financial oversight and support for business model additions and improvements.Assisting or leading other special projects as assigned.Controller Skills and Qualifications Required for this Position:Managing Processes, Financial Skills, Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, PerformanceManagement, Financial Software Competencies, Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting,Corporate Finance, Tracking Budget Expenses.The ideal candidate is an experienced financial professional who is a management readyprofessional, with experience in a manufacturing environment, and experienced with Epicor ERP systems.You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:Strong financial skills, knowledge of GAAP accounting rules, financial planning & analysis, and cost accounting.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to ownership, management and operations.Lead and coach team members to achieve results and bring out the best in people.Hands-on experiences working cross functionally with various functions such as Engineering,Software, Manufacturing and Customer Service.It’s an exciting time in DAC International’s 40-year history.

• 7+ years of experience in Cost Accounting preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and databases, preferably Epicor.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.Compensation:
