We’re a fast-growing luxury accessories brand based in Santa Monica, searching for a part-time in-house accountant/bookkeeper to join our team.

You will be working directly with our CFO.

We are a small (but mighty) team looking to expand our numbers department.

Our ideal candidate is someone with 2-3 years’ experience and preferably a degree in accounting with a strong understanding of GAAP. We are looking for an extremely detail-oriented person who strives to understand the big picture and think outside the task at hand to really understand the WHY of what we do.

Must be careful and thoughtful, yet efficient, and must value accuracy.

Must be an analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills.

A self-starter and self-motivated with a positive and happy attitude is highly preferred.TASKS:Record daily cash transactions/invoicingProcess credit memos for RMAs and review overall accuracy Perform monthly bank reconciliationsAccounts Payable ensure timely processing and payment of invoices, matching of goods billed to goods received, weekly check runsAccounts Receivable track payments received, follow up on payments due, reconcile A/R cash receiptsProcess monthly commission reportsReconcile A/R for our online/retail channels on a monthly basisProcess ADP payroll on bi-weekly basisMust ensure timely completion of all tasksAssist in month-end close and assist in other tasks on an ad-hoc basis SKILL SETS:Experience in accounting (2-3 years) & a strong understanding of GAAP (experience in fashion retail/e-commerce industry a plus)Proficient in Excel/Google SheetsExperience with Full Circle ERP preferred, but not requiredOrganized, efficient, timely and able to multitaskExtremely detail-orientedExcellent communication and written skillsMust be confidential and trustworthyMust be a team player who will thrive in a fast-paced work environmentAble to assess current systems and recommend/implement ways to streamline tasks and make things more efficient.
