Nuclear Project Manager


This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted November 8, 2018.

Position Overview:


PTAG is seeking experienced Project Managers to be part of a refurbishment project in the GTA. This position requires an individual to have a great understanding of the planning, development & construction of a multi-site facility. Is actively involved with the supervision of sub-contractors, interface with construction cost and schedule teams, provide governance and guidance in addressing quality and construction issues are fundamental aspects of this position.

  • Establish and implement a change management approach to ensure the successful transition of the improved processes, people and technologies
  • Work with client and team members to develop scope of work packages and articulate client requirements into billable projects
  • Facilitate and participate in numerous process reengineering workshops to identify opportunities for improvement, than develop implementation plans
  • Maintain client and stakeholder relationships between Management and the Project Team to ensure minimal impact on ongoing projects
  • Help manage conflict resolution, issue escalation and negotiations with stakeholder and clients. Report accurate quantities for labour cost reports, accurately monitor material ledgers to determine if quantities remaining in the estimate are sufficient to complete the project in the field
  • Identify contract document conflicts and recommend solutions
  • Ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications and design instruction


  • Strong experience running EPC/M capital projects in excess of $500 million
  • Must have strong understanding of how to set up projects, project management methodology and best practices, processes and procedures
  • Possess strong leadership skills and be able to provide professional judgment while performing in-role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering Designation or CET, if in the process obtaining certification that is acceptable
  • Must have Nuclear Power Generation EPC experience
