Chelsea Piers Fitness is designed to inspire and reflect the creative needs of its members as they build toward achieving their fitness goals.

Chelsea Piers Fitness is looking for seasoned sales candidates to join the team at both the 150,000 sq-ft flagship location in Chelsea and the 52,000 sq-ft Brooklyn location.

As an integral member of the Chelsea Piers Fitness team, the Membership Consultant will build the club’s high-quality membership base through an aggressive sales effort.

Role & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those a Membership Consultant must perform.

  • Adoption of relationship-based sales philosophy focused on information discovery
  • Prospecting, lead generation, and building of referral business
  • Sale of new memberships
  • Mastery of all member opportunities within the club; connecting new members to areas of interest to set them up for success and long-term membership
  • Working cohesively with a team of Sales Account Managers and a Membership Director to be successful individually and as a team
  • Establishing a strong sales pipeline, meeting sales objectives and collaborating with a team to achieve the overall goals of the business
  • Managing select events geared towards engaging the membership base and/or generating interest in and excitement around the club
  • Serving as a visible and active goodwill ambassador with members and at select special events
  • Delivering superior customer service with an aim towards member retention
