SUMMARY //The IT Support Assistant will provide timely and time-sensitive technical IT support to both retail store and corporate office personnel. This role requires flexibility and availability to meet the demands of IT support spanning but not limited to Point of Sale (POS), employee desktops/laptops/tablets, mobile. Tasks are primarily focused on end user support. This position is customer service-focused, with the ability to work independently and be flexible with changing work priorities. RESPONSIBILITIES //Manage, maintain, monitor, and support Retail POS software and hardware for all store and corporate usersMaintain accurate asset inventory for all Retail IT equipment.Monitor polling and network maintenance.Ensure proper maintenance and management of POS System archival data, including daily backups, polling, etc.Provide key IT support for Retail OMS project.Importing and maintaining accurate POS product file.Process seasonal style bridging/importing and QTM styles as needed.Process price corrections and DCS changes as needed.Process return attributes.Process Outlet SID Imports.Audit procedures to maximize the efficiency of physical inventories to assure minimal impact on shrinkage.Manage the technical function and run RGIS SKU lists for bi-annual physical inventories.Implement and monitor loss prevention systems within the POS system to minimize internal shrinkage.Monitor retail system and networks to ensure security and availability to specific users.Some travel and weekend work may be required.Identify, diagnose and resolve problems for user’s computer, software and hardware, network, the InternetProvide one-on-one end-user problem resolution over the phone for sales reps, stores, and other branchesDiagnose and resolve end-user network or local printer problems, PC/MAC hardware problems and mainframe, e-mail, Internet, dial-in, and local-area network access problems.Coordinates timely repair of PC computer equipment covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.Perform minor desktop hardware repair for PC computer equipment and peripherals that are not covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements.Assist install local area network cabling systems and equipment such as network interface cards, hubs and switches.Support, maintain, and evaluate computer networking and telecommunication systems; installs, configures, and maintains both physical and virtual computer servers.Support the RCU IT team with any global IT projects or initiatives.Maintain and accurate and running IT asset inventory, tracking hardware aging and general health.
