Both the Chelsea and Brooklyn locations feature comprehensive personal training services, studio-quality fitness programming, indoor swimming pools, recreational and competitive sports clubs, communal work and social spaces, artisanal food offerings and a year-round calendar of social and cultural events that reflect the ethos of the neighborhoods they serve.

Chelsea Piers Fitness is designed to inspire and reflect the creative needs of its members as they build toward achieving their fitness goals.

Chelsea Piers Fitness is looking for ambassadors of health and fitness who are highly qualified, career oriented, and passionate coaches to join our Group Fitness, Personal Training and Pilates teams.

Our vibrant Group Fitness schedule includes a variety of modalities including yoga, barre, Pilates Mat, Pilates Reformer, HIIT, strength, cycling, boxing and digital options.

Our goal is to deliver consistently positive, safe and engaging member experiences.

Role & Responsibilities:

The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those a Coach must perform.

This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned. 

  • Monitor and instruct members during private sessions and group fitness classes on the safe and effective use of the equipment.
  • Conduct fitness assessments for new clients including pre-participation screening and goal setting in order to properly recommend classes and training programs. 
  • Develop safe, professional and comprehensive training programs to ensure clients are satisfied with their workout program and remain motivated to attain their personal fitness goals.
  • Promote Group Fitness classes and sell Personal Training and Pilates training programs to members.
  • Eagerness to teach group fitness classes.
  • Develop and maintain a client base and loyal class following.
  • Provide excellent customer service, externally and internally.
  • Engage in marketing and social media outreach, developing a plan to help coaches (including self) gain a loyal following of Chelsea Piers Fitness members.
  • Serve as a positive brand ambassador for Chelsea Piers Fitness.
  • Participate in special and member events as scheduled, virtually and in-person.
  • Maintain operations protocols in sessions and classes including wiping down equipment pre/post session.
  • Complete all administrative requirements associated with each client’s plan or class preparation.
