Our Georgia-Pacific Gypsum facility in McQueeney, TX is seeking motivated a and safety-oriented Shipping Tarper to join our team.

The Shipping Tarper consists of working in an industrial environment

– noisy, work around dust, grease, oil, and other chemical substances; and exposure to the elements

– heat, humidity, rain, cold.

Must be able to lift, up to 50lbs.This role operates on Monday

– Friday, weekly, rotating shifts of 4:00 AM

– 2:00 PM and 7:00 AM

– 4:00 PM, with some holidays.

Schedule flexibility is required.

This position has the potential to train on forklifts and other mobile equipment.What You Will Do In Your RolePerform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environmentMaintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing personal protective equipment

– hard-hat, eye protection, high-viz top and steel-toe shoesOperate and/or work around mobile equipment, that ranges from forklifts to heavy equipment to semi-trucksPerform basic asset care duties, to include, routine, preventative maintenance, and housekeepingWork as a team to help meet, or exceed, production, waste, quality, and safety goalsCommunicate with truck driversOperate equipment to defined standards and product specification targetsMonitor and/or entry into computer control systemsTroubleshoot equipment, to optimize productionThe Experience You Will BringRequirements:High school diploma or GEDExperience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environmentWhat Will Put You AheadExperience with truck driversExperience using a computer, tablet, or smart deviceOur goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
