Vincent’s Medical Center is a 473-bed Magnet recognized community teaching hospital committed to continuing Christ’s healing ministry through its service to the greater Bridgeport, CT community.

Our Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) is a specialized 8 bed unit committed to providing the highest level of care for patients with various heart and/or vascular disorders, including cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

Many patients on this unit require diligent telemetry monitoring and are supported by our caring team of Registered Nurses, Techs, Providers and support staff.

Job Summary Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space.

Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff.

The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs of the patient and family.

Qualifications * Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

* Previous Acute Care RN experience required.

* BSN (preferred) * BLS required within 60 days of hire.
