Then we want you to join our Human Resources team as our Business Partner at Academy of Art University!Academy of Art University departments are split 50 / 50 and supported by our two HR business units, for all incoming HR matters, which are led by you and one other HR Business Partner.HRBPs at the Academy each manage a small and talented team consisting of an HR Lead Generalist, HR Generalist, and HR Coordinator.HR Business Partners must quickly resolve complex and non-standard requests while collaborating with their HRBP counterpart and HR Director.Our Business Partners are hands-on and work together to handle employee relations, support people management discussions, transfer best practices from different functions in the organization and act as the facilitator for the management team.They will drive the data integrity of HR and be the leaders their team looks up to.This role is an amazing opportunity to combine hands-on operations and strategic thinking to lead teams to continued success.

What We’re Looking For At least 4 years of professional HR experience with at least 2 years of experience managing employee relations and leave of absences.Must have 2 or more years of supervisory-level experience.Candidates that are passionate about people management.

You are able to anticipate and understand the needs of others and convey empathy and patience with communication.Strong HR knowledge is a must.

You will need to understand and apply rules, laws and policies quickly and appropriately.Solutions-oriented business approach.

You are able to identify potential issues and implement solutions that benefit both short and long-term organizational objectives.A strategic mindset!

You are able to see the forest for the trees and align objectives with organizational goals.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
