Principal Software Engineer for the AMP ATL Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) is responsible for supporting the EGSE SW team towards successful development, deployment and execution of the software for the EGSE test suite.Candidate must have and be able to maintain an active U.S.

Government SCI access with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years.Candidate will be responsible for working EGSE software enhancements, including the migration of existing SW to currently supported OS.

Candidate will need to coordinate with hardware and STEE personnel on build-up, configuration, and deployment of EGSE systems, as well as with electrical and mechanical teams to troubleshoot anomalies in a 24/7 I&T environment.The candidate should have experience with software development primarily using LabView, but also C/C++.

The candidate should have knowledge of network programming, network communication protocols, and experience in both Windows environments (LabView, Visual Studio, LabWindows CVI) & Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS.Additionally, the candidate should be able to support occasional extended hours during formal test periods, and able to travel to support offsite EGSE SW operations.Basic Qualifications:* 9 Years professional software engineering experience with BS in STEM related discipline; 7 Years with STEM Master’s; 4 Years with STEM PhD* Hold current SCI clearance* Programming experience in LabVIEW* Support extended hours during critical testing to ensure minimal I&T floor downtime* Ability to travel to support offsite operationsPreferred Qualifications:* Programming experience in C/C++ and Linux* Experience with ground support hardware and instrumentationNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
