Lead Computer Vision Engineer – TS/SCI Required Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Required Expedition Technology, Inc., in Herndon, VA is searching for an experienced, intelligent, collaborative and talented team player who has expertise in developing and deploying Computer Vision/Image Processing applications.

Our successful new team member will lead a team of engineers on a ground-breaking new program integral to the US Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community by creating, designing and implementing complex sensor network system/algorithm data into computer vision systems.

Position Responsibilities Will Include Designing algorithms and experiments to improve existing computer vision models focusing on tracking capabilities, and object detection Designing system architecture from the ground up alongside engineers from related disciplines Collaborating with hardware, back-end, embedded, and software teams Leading team members to accomplish project goals while interacting with customer to ensure requirements are understood and met Required Qualifications US Citizenship Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.

Advanced degrees (MS/PhD) are preferred Minimum 4 years of professional experience working with computer vision and/or machine learning 2 years of professional experience leading a computer vision team Proficiency in Python, OpenCV and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras or similar Extensive expertise in one or more of the following: object detection and tracking, human pose estimation, activity recognition, scene understanding, geometry-based methods in vision, sensor fusion, autonomous systems Understanding of DOD and Intelligence communities along with experience working with relevant stakeholders within them Understanding of wireless systems and digital signal processing Well-versed in taking a computer vision project through the planning, data collection, annotation, training, deployment and iteration phases Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make things happen quickly.

Exceptional writing and verbal communications skills.

Preferred Qualifications Masters or PhD in Computer Science or related field focus on computer vision research and deep learning.

Some experience working with SAR Experience investigating, designing, prototyping, and productizing new and innovative computer vision system solutions Knowledge of GPU programming (CUDA or OpenCL) on GPU accelerator architectures.

Experience with camera bring-up and ISP pipeline configuration.
