We take great care in our consideration of every new hire, as each member of the team is an integral part in contributing to our success as a whole.Position Summary:This position reports directly to the Director of Project Development and is responsible to coordinate and lead all assigned solar and storage project development activities on one or more identified projects, from inception to construction hand-off.

The ideal candidate will display strong analytical and technical abilities, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and leading and controlling multiple projects simultaneously while delivering carefully thought-out results. A high level of expertise is expected and the ability to spot and correct errors is important.

Work must be done right and quickly, while always focusing on accomplishing the goal and demanding the highest quality work from co-workers.

This role includes coordinating activities with other internal business segments with a critical focus on goals.

The broad scope of the job demands a factual and direct style of communication.Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to the following):Coordination and management of all solar and storage development tasks and services including but not limited to site acquisition and entitlement, permitting, environmental studies, engineering, procurement, and construction planning.Participate in technical and commercial due diligence of primarily solar and storage projects in all stages of the development phase, acquisition or sale.

Coordination of all federal, state, and local permits and studies.

As projects advance in the development process, duties include working with other staff regarding off-take of power, project financial modeling, project proposals, arrangements for finance, construction and operations, and other matters.Assist or lead teams responsible for detailed design and layouts of solar and storage facilities, including standalone energy storage projects.Participate in energy assessments for solar and storage projects. This includes organization and assistance of the various components of energy and financial analysis, with a keen understanding of energy, capacity, ancillary service markets and economics.Participate in bidding, evaluation, and procurement of certain services and contractors (environmental, permitting, engineering, procurement, construction).Assist as needed with any contract review, negotiation, and management.Ability to assist with and understand certain aspects of project and corporate financial drivers (including assistance and interpretation of financial models, with understanding of project financing and corporate risk assessment and profitability objectives that drive renewable energy project development and sales).Skills, Qualifications, Education, Experience:A minimum of bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline or equivalent experience in related field.

Electrical engineering knowledge and experience, a benefit.At least 5 years utility-scale renewable energy industry development experience.Preferred experience includes proven successful track record in solar and battery energy storage project development, origination, permitting, interconnection, engineering, procurement, construction, and financial analysis.Keen understanding of supply and demand, policy/regulation, markets, and financial metrics that drive successful project development.Work efficiently, diligently, and effectively to rapidly accomplish key responsibilities.Delivery of assignments on time and on or under budget.

Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks and people.Experience in California markets is required.
