DescriptionPosition Summary – Entry Level Leadership Roles. LogisticsThis role is designed as a developmental role to help prepare individuals for a career and pathway in logistics leadership. Individuals with a passion for supply chain and logistics and a willingness to learn, to be curious, and to have a great attitude should consider this opportunity. This role can lead to other opportunities in operations leadership as well as other supply chain functions with our business. This role will help an individual become a front line leader with the ability to lead a team, have crucial conversations, and navigate through department situations.Job Responsibilities: – Assists Supervisor in planning and organizing departmental goals by understanding priorities and taking proactive approach to managing workflow and associate hours in department- Devotes consistent time and energy in establishing and maintaining relationships with associates, peers and leaders- Coaches associates to maximize performance using established coaching methods- Provides feedback to associates focusing on behaviors and results that drives learning and performance- Partners with Supervisor to support associates by building a team environment through strong floor presence and maintains a positive, professional behavior at all times- Generates, reviews, validates and actions various reports including Labor Management (LM), Kronos, departmental productivity/accuracy, safety and other vital reports- Key contributor the training & development of existing and newly hired associates- Promotes and takes an active interest in generating safety awarenessQualificationsJob Qualifications: – 0-2 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred – Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision – Exceptional verbal and written communication skills / organizational skills – Exceptional attendance and performance record and ability to maintain those standards – Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) – Effective verbal and written communication skills – Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships and interact with associates, peers and leaders in a constructive manner – Knowledge of DC operations is preferredAn equal opportunity employer, we do not discriminate in hiring or terms and conditions of employment because of an individual’s race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital status or any other protected category recognized by state, federal or local laws.
