Research Associate will support R&D research, working on small molecule and protein purification and characterization.

Strong candidates will have experience in conjugation chemistry, protein isolation, data analysis and proper documentation.

The role will include extensive use of characterization techniques including NMR and mass spec techniques, as well as purification techniques such as HPLC, SEC, FPLC, and Ion exchange chromatography.

This role will also co-develop and implement in-house characterization assays monitored by gel electrophoresis and/or fluorescence.The ideal candidate can thrive in an extremely fast paced, dynamic environment, as part of a team of highly skilled, highly focused and highly motivated people who believe in changing the world by creating disruptive technology.

Specific responsibilities include:Performing small molecule and/or protein purification by HPLC, SEC, FPLC, Ion exchange chromatography or native gel electrophoresis.Applying protein, peptide, and/or DNA conjugation methods.Preparing buffers and reagents for protein purification and conjugation.Assaying performance and quality control of purified proteins and/or small molecules, including stocking and tracking reagent inventory.Documenting experimental procedures and results in lab notebooks.Compiling experimental results and presenting them at company meetings.Maintaining a well-organized, clean and safe lab working environment.Qualifications: 
· B.S and 3-4 years or M.S.

and 1-2 years of hands on experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or in related fields.
