Digital Project Manager

This is a Full-time position in Grand Rapids, MI posted April 12, 2021.

We are excited to share that we are looking for an intuitive, technically savvy Digital Project Manager with exceptional relationship building/management and critical thinking skills.

As the Digital Project Manager, we will look to you to guide clients and direct team members as you actively lead major projects throughout the full lifecycle of creating commercially viable and sustainable web applications.

What you will work on:

Organize and Motivate Project Team – direct a peer team of developers, designers, and functional personnel, and serve as the in-house authority regarding both project plans and business goals.

Create Project Plans and Milestones – collaborate with clients to establish core goals and objectives for projects, while creating and owning the execution of project plans.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and adjusting the project plan to achieve on-time, on-budget delivery coordinating with the Production Manager for resourcing needs throughout project execution.

Identify Project Risks – work with clients to proactively identify and mitigate project risks, while tracking and monitoring both milestones and roadblocks.

Monitor and Report on Project Progress – provide day-to-day account management, track, and communicate quality assurance efforts, work with clients and team members to identify and implement necessary scope and/or project changes.

Serve as Champion for Your Project Team – accept leadership responsibility for projects large and small, serving as the key client contact and internal advocate for client requests.

Ensure cross-functional communication throughout the project duration.

Serve as Client Advocate – prioritize understanding client’s business issues and information requests.

Lead client discovery sessions, engage necessary internal and external resources, effectively manage client expectations while always seeking out opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.

Support Account Strategy Efforts – support the Account Lead with identification of broader client needs or opportunities, driving a comprehensive account plan and strategy.

This job may be for you if you:

Have at least two years of technical digital programming work experience.

Have strong communication skills and enjoy leading client-facing sessions and can apply a high level of “EI” to the day-to-day client and team interactions.

Possess a bachelor’s degree specializing in business with a technical discipline (or equivalent work experience).

Maintain excellent organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with high attention to detail and quality.

Take pride in your ability to establish trust and credibility in order to problem solve and build meaningful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Can think conceptually, possess a hands-on tactical capability, and are agile enough to flex between a big picture view on project needs and business requirements and detailed execution of the tasks required to achieve them.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus but not required.
