Title: Specialist Business Analyst Location: Thousand Oaks, CA Duration: 12+ months contract Description: Onsite M-F normal core hours Ideal candidate-Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or science.

2+ years leading medium to complex projects.

Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management techniques.

Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.

1+ year of experience in Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence.

Biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing work experience and thorough understanding of biological/chemistry technology transfer processes and timelines.

Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools within MS Excel.

Contract Manufacturing provides a strategic dimension to manufacturing network to enhance operational competitiveness and ensure uninterrupted global supply of medicines to our patients.

In order to continue to provide the supplemental capacity to the manufacturing network, it is increasingly important that establish consistent, robust processes and systems to ensure quality and supply reliability with our external contract manufacturing network while closely partnering with our internal networks as well.

Searching for a Business Analyst Specialist for our Contract Manufacturing Business Operations and Strategy team.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Contract Manufacturing and will be based on main corporate campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and conduct business analysis as well as establish and execute consistent robust processes and systems to ensure quality and supply reliability with our external contract manufacturing network.

Along with key business partners (Finance, Operations Strategic Planning and Risk, External Supply Quality, Process Development and Manufacturing) this person will lead initiatives that focus on identifying and delivering recommendations to drive strategic initiatives, business performance and operational improvements.

The Business Analysis Specialist may work on a wide range of activities to support Business Operations and Strategy that may include but are not limited to: Provide Business Analysis tools and skill sets to and partner in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Operations Strategic Planning and Risk Lead complex, cross-functional assessments which will have implications for including CMOs and cross functional partners Implement innovative and efficient process improvements as needed Develop holistic business cases with financial and strategic consideration Use modeling and analytical tools to identify improvement opportunities and focus areas to drive strategy and business performance Present recommendations to Senior Management and drive decisions Provide regular reports, dashboards and presentations that clearly summarize results and implications/recommendations to key stakeholders to inform decision making Turn unstructured business issues/requests into appropriate action plans and projects that result in high quality, meaningful and actionable deliverables Own, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders; proactively seek buy-in and provide on-going collaboration and consultation to inform how best to address business needs Support development and implementation of new processes and procedures to standardize, simplify, and measure business processes within Client Contract Manufacturing Deploy ‘best in class’ project management on all initiatives including special projects as needed Lead continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable gain in quality, efficiency and alignment within Client.

Apply knowledge, skills, tools of project management / operational excellence (OE) to ensure optimal execution of projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or science 2+ years leading medium to complex projects.

Extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools, resource management practices and change management technique Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification 1+ year of experience in Lean Manufacturing or Operational Excellence MBA or business operations degree or equivalent experience in business/operations management Biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing work experience and thorough understanding of biological/chemistry technology transfer processes and timelines Ability to travel +/ 20% of time (domestic and international) Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools within MS Excel.

Advanced knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.

Ability and interest to learn to use other software as required.
