POSITION SUMMARY The Strategic Planner is responsible for developing and presenting strategic marketing recommendations for our agency clients.

Reporting to the agency Strategy Director, the Junior Strategic planner will work on a variety of projects, which will require this role to perform research, quantitative and qualitative analysis, strategy development and collaboration with key members of the Business Development, Client Services, Creative and Executive Leadership team.ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY Develop creative, well-founded, thoughtful strategies for our experiential and shopper marketing programs that drive program successResearch and gather relevant insights/data to develop well-informed strategic plans for clientsStay in tune with trends (media, lifestyle, experiential, industry) in order to leverage those in strategy developmentAnalyze RFP’s, client briefs and/or project requests; to fully understand the client’s business objectives and brandsWork in liaison with Business Development team to ensure strategic planning needs are met around proposal and RFP requestsWork hand in hand with the creative team to create outstanding experiences and programs.

Share consumer insights/preferences with creative team throughout the creative process.

Work in conjunction with other teams to generate original ideas for client programs from strategic to tacticalPrepare strategy proposals for our agency clients, storytelling capabilities are key.Present strategic plans, concepts, and insight findings to senior staff members and clientsSupport in the ideation and development of revenue-generating initiatives for the agencyAnalyze program/project results to define program wins and areas of opportunities.

Leverage this information to create new strategies and pivot or evolve programs as neededServe as team representative during cross-departmental & client presentations/meetingsMonitor, analyze and report key performance indicators (KPIs) established for client programs.Be a strategic thought partner to team members in different parts of the agencyPOSITION REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing or Business Administration preferred.

3-5 years of Advertising, Media and/or Marketing experience. Experiential and/or shopper marketing experience a plus.Solid understanding of metrics reporting.

Experience managing client-facing partnerships.

Experience communicating with Senior Management on all levels, i.e.

verbally, written, presentations and selling of ideas.

Excellent writing and presentation skills, including development of compelling presentation materials.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and Powerpoint.

Experience managing multiple strategic projects across internal teams and client relationshipsSolid team player, with demonstrated ability and desire to work well with others and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS10-15% domestic travelWORKING ENVIRONMENT:Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy while shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines.

A sense of urgency is key.
