Position Overview Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Office (CEO), the Executive Assistant provides executive support, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the President and CEO.

The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT); organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations activities; and oversees special projects.

Must be creative and enjoy working within a large, culturally-driven, global, results and community oriented environment.

The ideal individual must have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to balance/handle competing priorities.

Primary Responsibilities The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion.

He/she must be able to work under pressure and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion including but not limited to: Assist the President and CEO with daily administrative duties and complete a broad variety of administrative tasks that include managing an active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence; arranging complex and detailed global travel plans, itineraries and agendas and compiling documents and reports for meetings Be responsible for data analysis and report preparation Communicate with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on the President and CEO’s behalf and coordinate logistics with high-level meetings, both internally and externally Plan, coordinate and ensure the President and CEO’s schedule is followed Research, prioritize, and follow up on incoming issues and concerns addressed to the President and CEO, including those of a sensitive or confidential nature.

Determines appropriate course of action, referral, or response Successfully complete critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting acknowledgement letters, personal correspondence, and other tasks Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the Office of the President and CEO and internal departments Act as a “barometer,” having a sense for the issues taking place in the work environment Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures Participate as an adjunct member of the SLT including assisting in scheduling, attending meetings, representing the President and CEO in designated meetings as required Assist in coordinating the agenda of SLT meetings.

Prepare an account of the meetings and follow up on assigned action items Skills & Abilities Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, SLT and external partners Proficiency in Windows, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Google Suite, Workday, SAP, ehire Strong analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills Ability to learn new software as needed Ability to conduct research and present data in a succinct and well-written manner Ability to work independently and with professional discretion Excellent writing, editing, grammatical, organizational, and research skills Excellent management, time-management, and problem-solving skills Qualifications BS in Management or related field preferred 5+ years executive administrative support Location Los Angeles in and around the San Fernando Valley TELUS Values: TELUS recognizes and embraces the importance of values in our ever-changing workplace.
