Stem also offers full support for solar partners interested in adding storage to standalone, community or commercial solar projects – both behind and in front of the meter.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Electro-mechanical Engineering Specialist, reporting to the Sr.

Manager, Network Operations Center (NOC) and supporting our NOC team.

This specialist will:Help coordinate the nonconforming field returned products from customer sites. Will track, document, review on-site failure analysis, test, troubleshoot, and work with the Engineers on dispositioning for monthly Material Review Board (MRB) meetings. Help setup, run, and maintain test equipment to support Engineering teams in a testing lab environment.

Assist in the upkeep and general maintenance of the lab.

Will be a hands-on builder type personality who has strict attention to detail. Ideally, the candidate will have testing experience in a lab setting. Be familiar and comfortable around batteries and high voltages, both DC and AC systems.Responsibilities:Evaluate returned products and determine next steps for testing and dispositioning.Create and/or update documentation on each returned product for lifecycle tracking.Focus efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service. Maintain and execute testing utilizing specialized test equipment.Organization of test data and reports.Design and build fixtures for testing.Maintain power supplies, AC loads, temperature chambers and automated test equipment in lab.Manage small projects involving multiple departments, contract manufacturers, and outside laboratories.Boxing and shipping of parts to contractors and other external partiesWork with Battery recyclers to conform to shipping standardsSupport and assist in logistics tasks with nonconforming material inventory and in returning material to suppliers and contract manufacturers for evaluation.Assist in the completeness of test documentation, manufacturing support.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience0 to 2 years’ experience in the Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering discipline.Strong technician experience.Product experience with lithium ion batteries and power electronics a plus.

Comfortable working around high voltagesWorking knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Visio.Working knowledge of JIRA a plusWorking knowledge of Linux commands a plus.Familiar with electronic circuits.Most work well with multiple teams and poses excellent communications skills.Demonstrate strong technical reporting skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills a mustHave a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with a wide variety of hand tools; soldering, crimping and fixture designing and building.Self-motivated under minimal supervision.Ability to lift up to 45 pounds on a regular basis.Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, etc.)Company Stem is the global leader in AI-driven energy storage.
