Account Administrator (Sports Marketing) – Co-Op or Intern – Summer 2019

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted January 30, 2019.

What are the details for the Summer 2019 Co-Op work term?

  • May 6 to August 23, 2019
  • Mon-Fri (regular, full-time business hours – flexibility of hours is required at times)
  • Hourly wage- paid semi-monthly by direct deposit
  • All of our Co-Op students and Interns are fully supervised and roles are office-based
  • Site visits from Co-Op Advisors are welcomed!

What’s the Sport Marketing team all about?
The Sport Marketing team is part of our larger Experiential team and is dedicated to creating and executing successful, national marketing programs and events in a variety of settings/locations across Canada (sporting events, festivals, etc.) with the goal of driving brand awareness out to consumers on behalf of our Tier 1 clients in the CPG and Sport industries. 

 

What does an Account Administrator do?
In our world, there is no ”typical day” (which is awesome!), but we guarantee you’ll be working on (and learning about) these projects on a regular basis: 

  • Field Sales Representative management
  • Scheduling / Training / Reporting
  • Client Service
  • Sport Sponsorships
  • Event logistics
  • Administrative assistance, as/when required.

Experiential Events. Client Service.  Sport Marketing. Event Marketing.  Recruitment.  HR.  Finance.  Reporting.  Administration.  Operations. Logistics.  Creative.  Teamwork.  Fun.  Collaboration.

What are the top ”must haves” for candidates interested in this role?

  • Must be either (1) a current Ontario College or University co-op student with a mandatory 4 month work term required for credit towards graduation;
    (b) a recent College or University graduate from a related program; OR (c) a current Ontario College or University student in a related, non co-op program seeking summer work experience;
  • Excellent time management / organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken;
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of Excel, Word, PPT and Outlook;
  • Great listener, fast learner, team player who wants to contribute/learn
  • Professional work ethic, responsible, accountable and reliable
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Great sense of humour
  • Valid “G” Ontario Drivers License (Drivers Abstract may be required for final candidates)

What are the ”nice to haves” that will help set you apart in your application?

  • Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador for an experiential marketing agency; 
  • Some previous retail or corporate office experience;
  • A passion for sports!
