Jr. Community Administrator (Experiential) – Co-Op or Intern – Summer 2019

This is a Contract position in Toronto, ON posted February 6, 2019.

What are the details for the Summer 2019 Co-Op work term?

  • May 6 to August 23, 2019
  • Mon-Fri (regular, full-time business hours – flexibility of hours is required at times)
  • Hourly wage – paid semi-monthly by direct deposit
  • All of our Co-Op students and Interns are fully supervised and roles are office-based
  • Site visits from Co-Op Advisors are welcomed!

What’s the Experiential Community team all about?
The Community team is part of our larger Experiential team and manages the communication and engagement with our amazing field employees related to field program hiring, referrals and networking for new recruitment initiatives within Canada.

What does a Jr. Community Administrator do?
In our world, there is no ”typical day” (which is awesome!), but we guarantee you’ll be working on (and learning about) these projects on a regular basis: 

  • Candidate sourcing – national
  • Market research
  • Screening resumes
  • Job Fairs
  • Administrative assistance, as/when required.

What will a Co-Op student or Intern in this role learn during their 4 month work term? 

High volume recruitment.  Networking.  Client Service. Experiential Marketing.  HR.  Finance.  Reporting.  Administration.  Operations. Logistics.  Creative.  Teamwork.  Fun.  Collaboration.  

What college/university programs are the best matches to this role/team?

Human Resources Management; Sport & Event Marketing; Sport Management; Business Administration – Marketing; Business/Commerce; Marketing Management; Sport & Entertainment Sales & Marketing.

What are the top ”must haves” for candidates interested in this role?

  • Must be either (a) a current Ontario College or University co-op student with a mandatory 4 month work term required for credit towards graduation; (b) a recent College or University graduate from a related program; or (c) a current Ontario College or University student in a related, non co-op program seeking summer work experience;
  • Excellent time management / organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication skills – written and spoken;
  • Intermediate to Advanced level of Excel, Word, PPT and Outlook;
  • Great listener, fast learner, team player who wants to contribute/learn
  • Professional work ethic, responsible, accountable and reliable
  • Able to juggle multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Great sense of humour

What are the ”nice to haves” that will help set you apart in your application?

  • Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador for an experiential marketing agency; 
  • Some previous customer service and/or corporate office experience;
  • Some recruitment experience;
  • A passion for people!
