Work at BEI Hotel, San Francisco A brand new lifestyle hotel, managed by Pivot Hotels and Resorts.Join our team of diverse, ambitious hospitality professionals bound together by curiosity, playfulness, and grounded in our local San Francisco culture.We are looking for a Director of Sales and Marketing who will have total oversight of the hotel’s sales and marketing functions.

The ideal candidate must be adept at strategic and tactical planning and management, have the ability to assess and immediately react to changing market conditions, and have a proven track record of community involvement.

This position will drive collaboration and partnerships with the hotel’s Leadership Team, as well as the Corporate Sales & Marketing Leadership Team, to achieve optimum results for ownership.

Success is measured through increased revenues, improved account revenue share, and increased customer value.

Responsibilities Analyze historical and other statistical information to penetrate all viable segments.Conduct sales calls, interviews and ongoing account and market assessments to maximize revenue growth.Develop specific tactics to re-establish customer base, increase overall channel production and revenues, and optimize overall hotel exposure to potential customers.Adapt to changing markets, conditions, and industry practicesDirectly develop and assist in training Sales Managers and staff to maintain focus and meet/exceed Sales Targets.Oversee the design and placement of all advertising and public relations opportunities.Promote high visibility of hotel through active involvement in industry associations and trade shows.Support and promote all corporate programs to increase customer awareness, and ensure that the customer receives the appropriate benefits of each program.Use resources and data to develop strategic marketing plans to sell segments.

These plans will incorporate both customer expectations and company’s goals relative to revenue.Develop and execute tactical sales and marketing processes that support the hotel’s goals.Monitor achievement objectives and goals for the hotel and takes appropriate action to correct shortfalls. Knowledgeable of hotels’ competitive set and makes recommendations on sales/pricing strategies, service and product improvements to stay competitive.Work in conjunction with the Marketing and Sales Leadership Team to identify, develop and implement all local marketing efforts and programming as well as event marketing efforts and programming to meet or exceed budgeted production goals. Keep current on local, regional and national events that affect any marketing programs.QualificationsBachelor degree required or equivalent experienceMinimum of 8 years in the hotel sales & marketing industryAble to execute a Sales and Marketing Plan to enhance revenue.Negotiation/interpretation of contracts skills.Business communication skills.Read, write, and speak English fluently.Proficient computer skills.Willing to relocate.
