Join Staff Management | SMX as our next Executive Director of Sales focused on the Transportation industry.

We have an opportunity for an Executive Director of Sales related to Transportation Accounts to expand our relationship among PeopleManagements Transportation Vertical prospects.

The position will drive organic and expansion sales growth within our Transportation Vertical.

In this role, you will lead sales efforts for large-volume strategic sales opportunities within our Transportation Vertical.

This position is key in driving growth, exploring and securing enterprise and large-volume accounts.

The ideal candidate possesses the autonomy and discipline to generate leads, research prospects, cold call, network, and build long-lasting relationships with current and prospective clients.

The Director will report to the VP of Sales at Staff Management and can be located anywhere in the US.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Research business clients to better understand their requirements, provide advice, and recommend the appropriate product or service, capitalizing on cross-sales opportunities Present and market to potential business clients within the Transportation Vertical Build account depth and stability through new customer acquisition as well as current customer retention Execute business initiatives in accordance with the directives from the executive team Document sales activity weekly in Salesforce Act as a source of knowledge regarding SMX’s culture, features, benefits, strategic solutions, systems, and technologies Partner and collaborate with regional leadership, regional sales partners, cross brand sales partners and operational team members to execute our corporate strategy of driving growth for the Transportation Vertical and Staff Management portfolio.

Analyze business opportunities as related to PeopleManagement’s Transportation Vertical accounts and implement client pursuit strategies for the Transportation Vertical.

Executes a strategic plan for the business development and expansion within the Transportation Vertical Act as a subject matter expert on all Transportation Vertical offerings in support of our strategic initiatives Performs face-to-face sales meetings with customers and prospects in the Transportation Vertical environment in conjunction with Regional Sales Directors and Operational Leaders Provides support and recommendations for all Transportation Vertical pricing and bid procedures for current (rebid) and potential customers Meet and exceed Transportation Vertical account goals, sales objectives and pipeline targets Responsible for revenue generating activities such as client visits, marketing initiatives, routine attendance at networking events, and targeted usage of electronic marketing tools such as email, LinkedIn, and SalesForce Develop C-level relationships and communicate objectives of sales opportunities Support operational teams in the development of accounts while maintaining strategic oversight Identifies trends and competition in markets and advocates action to maximize opportunities and minimize risk QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; including 8+ years sales/account management experience Proficient in SalesForce & Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point Prior experience with a multi-unit organization Demonstrative success in sales, account management and business expansion Experience in contract negotiation Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to persuade an audience in person or on the phone Significant experience in implementing progressive training concepts, training needs analysis and value based solutions Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently, and meet deadlines under pressure Passion for business information inquisitive and creative desire to learn and gain knowledge about the marketplace Demonstrated experience getting work done through a matrixed organization structure Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
