POSITION SUMMARYCHCN is seeking a strategic, proactive, and critical thinking Provider Services Manager to lead the Provider Services team.

In addition to overseeing the day to day operations of the Provider Services team, the Provider Services Manager is responsible for developing the strategic vision for the provider network in order to improve access to care in the changing Medi-Cal landscape.

The ideal candidate has experience working in the health care safety net, embraces innovation, and possesses strong critical thinking and communication skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to have a meaningful role with primary and specialty care providers in the Bay Area.

Supervise, inspire, and professionally develop Provider Services staff Negotiate provider contracts and analyze business and financial impact due to change in terms and reimbursement ratesEnsure high-quality services are provided to CHCN health centers and provider network including provider education, technical assistance, partnerships, and referrals.Utilize data and concrete metrics to monitor, evaluate, and improve outcomes and guide policy decisions around access to high-quality specialty careFoster opportunities for both qualitative and quantitative feedback from contracted provider and staff network, and implement feedback into strategic planning of the departmentUnderstand and anticipate the trends and changes to the Medi-Cal specialty care landscapeCollaborate with staff across departments at CHCN as well as in health centers to ensure alignment and effective implementation of policy and proceduresEnsure compliance with regulatory and health plan requirements related to contracting and credentialing.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESCommunity Partnership ManagerSenior Provider Services and Contracts SpecialistProvider Services and Contracts SpecialistProvider Services and Credentialing SpecialistProvider Services CoordinatorMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExcellent soft skills and desire to build trusting relationshipsAbility to rapidly comprehend CHCN’s community health strategy and develop framework for provider agreements to support this strategy.Highly sophisticated communication, both verbally and in writingAbility to inspire teams of people and collaboration across departmentsAbility to perform data manipulation and analysisMastery of technical tools such as Microsoft Office Suite especially ExcelDesign thinking experience desired, such as human centered design approaches CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES
· Bachelor’s degree required; Masters preferredAt least 5 years’ experience in healthcare or combination of relevant education and work experience
