Overview: Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Marketing & Market Access, the Senior Director, Payer Accounts will be responsible for the development and maintenance of assigned accounts within the commercial, government and other reimbursement market segments as well as distribution channel accounts.

The position will function as the primary liaison between Coherus BioSciences, assigned payer and the patient services HUB to ensure that health care providers and patients will have unimpeded access to our products and services. The position will achieve this by educating payers and influencing their medical policy decisions, their perceptions of the value Coherus BioSciences provides them and their patients, and our competitive position relative to alternatives. The Senior Director, Payer Accounts will report payer coverage, resolve reimbursement obstacles across the company portfolio and address Market Access related questions, create strategy, and deploy tactics, and will lead a team of Director, National Accounts – Payers.Principle Responsibilities and Duties:Responsible and accountable for the successful implementation of the Market Access strategic and tactical plan.Collaborate with internal and external colleagues to ensure optimal UDENYCA® access across multiple payer segments.Lead a team of Director, National Account Payers who are the “single point of contact” for their respective Sales Management and sales representative teams about coverage updates: National and Regional Health Plans (Commercial, Medicare Part D, and/or Managed Medicaid segment), Medicaid and clinical pathway updates.Collaborate with the Patient Services HUB to ensure providers are educated on patient service offerings, which include Quick Start, Co-Pay and Patient Assistance program for UDENYCA®.Proactively identify potential marketplace trends/barriers regarding UDENYCA®.Reactively respond to any identified reimbursement, coverage issues and market access challenges for UDENYCA®.Establishes and maintains key relationships with KOLs, State Oncology Societies and Advocacy Groups Nationally.

 Experience, Education, Training, Traits:BS/BA degree requiredMinimum of 12+ year’s pharmaceutical/biotech experience (Managed Markets, Sales, Brand Marketing, etc.)Pharmaceutical/biotech launch experience requiredPrior oncology and/or orphan/rare disease launch experience is preferredBuy and Bill Injectable experience requiredOutstanding customer relationship, interpersonal, and communication skills with the established ability to effectively work with diverse audiences and influence cross functionallyStrong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data to determine trends and inform strategyProven ability to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teamsComfortable managing multiple projects and delivering strong resultsHigh interest in working in the “roll up the sleeves” environment of a small biotechnology company, without the resources of larger companiesEffective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and writtenExcellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skillsMust have the ability to travel up to 25%
