Tax manager

[This position is available in San Francisco OR New York City]The Tax Manager position at White Oak Global Advisors is an ideal opportunity for a growth-focused tax professional with 4 8 years of public accounting experience.

You have the opportunity to support a rapidly growing company in a dynamic role where you will be overseeing and managing the indirect tax functions.You will be a vital part of our strong and collaborative accounting team.

This position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer. Core Responsibilities:Lead the review of US federal and state income tax returns prepared by external service providers.Coordinate U.S.

and foreign tax compliance process with tax advisors.Coordinate with accounting team, middle office, deal team and administrators in providing the tax advisors information required to prepare the tax returns.Prepare tax provisions for corporate entities.Ensure the W-8s and W-9s are updated for KYC purposes.Register GIINs for newly formed foreign entities;Prepare ASC 740 Memos;Coordinate calls with tax advisors, law firms, and WO personnel to discuss tax issues related to new structures, new investments, divestitures, and restructurings.Work with business units to update tax configurations, improve tax systems, resolve tax disputes and communicate proper taxability of products.Assist in documenting, reviewing, and analyzing processes for necessary controls and efficiencies.

Candidate Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree.

(Accounting, Finance, or Tax focus a plus)4 – 8 years of public accounting experience.Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.Highly proficient computer skills including: MS Word and Excel.Ability to organize, prioritize work and interact with all levels of management as well as to work effectivelyStrong knowledge of general accounting, with knowledge of investment management industry being a plus.The candidate must be customer-oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.Self-driven, team-oriented and must possess strong integrity and professionalism.Familiarity with and understanding of a busy tax season.
