OVERVIEW:The Technology Sourcing Contractor negotiates business partnerships by leveraging market intelligence and your own experience as a sourcing and/or legal professional.You’ll navigate across the Company to negotiate hardware, software, and services contracts and renewals of up to $500K in value per contract.

Candidates will be responsible for executing on high-volumes of transactional work by working independently in ambiguous environments.

A sense urgency, attention to detail, and a collaborative work ethic is essential.Improve purchasing compliance to IT procurement policy and category strategyReduce cycle time on IT hardware and enterprise software order fulfillmentIdentify additional savings opportunitiesReduce amount of time Gap employees spend in placing, tracking IT Hardware and Enterprise software orders This contract position is not a temp to hire role; however, candidates may apply for full time roles with the team as they become available and where the candidate’s performance and abilities merit consideration for such roles.

Tenure policy limits this to a twelve-month contract position, unless an exception is granted according to Gap policy.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:You’ll navigate across the Company to negotiate hardware, software, and services contracts and renewals of up to $500K in value per contract.

•Negotiate complex technology contracts and licenses
•Use financial modeling to predict contractual impacts and for leverage in negotiations
•Improve purchasing compliance to IT procurement policy and category strategy
•Reduce cycle time on IT hardware and enterprise software order fulfillment
•Optimize contract terms and savings opportunities
•Understand supply and demand and routinely conduct research to stay informed of market conditions
•Assist business partners and sourcing teammates with supplier selection, price negotiation, and bid evaluation processes
•Liaise with Legal to negotiate terms of contracts between the supplier and the business
•Participate in negotiation strategy development and the competitive negotiation process including execution of NDAs, SOWs, MSAs, etc.
•Communicate regularly and proactively with business partners and other stakeholders
•Provide input and data analysis on the sourcing process, spend management, and benefits
•Build relationships and effectively partner across varied functions with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, agencies, and colleagues to influence change QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum five years of professional experience in management consulting, strategic sourcing, law, or supply chain – including experience working on software, SaaS, hardware, and services contractsBachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related discipline; MBA, JD, or advanced degree preferredUnderstanding of supplier base, market trends, pricing models and contract structuresRisk and financial modeling skillsProject management experience and Proficient in MS Office SuiteExcellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and maintain performance by adapting to changeDemonstrated skill in planning and leading negotiationsExcellent verbal, presentation, and written skillsA “can-do” approach with demonstrated high-levels of motivation and organization
